Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, adviser to King Salman and governor of Makkah, ordered the formation of a committee to coordinate the implementation of projects in the region.
A monthly meeting chaired by Prince Khaled will be held to discuss committee reports and check the progress of projects.
During a meeting attended by the governor of Jeddah, the mayors of Makkah, Jeddah and Taif, and directors of government sectors, Prince Khaled stressed the need for coordination between all parties to speed up the pace of work.
Prince Khaled also stressed the importance of keeping pace with the current stage of implementation of the Vision 2030 reform plan.
He reviewed reports on completed and ongoing projects, and was briefed on faltering projects and the reasons for this.
